BAPTIST NEW CHURCH MISSION
SEMINOLE  UPDATE
September,  2005

Dear Praying Friends,

We are so thankful for God’s continued protection during this hurricane season.  We daily monitor the Weather Channel to stay informed of any approaching storms.  We are also  grateful for your prayers and financial support.

We continue to pray for God’s leading in regard to our home construction.  The banks were not real excited to make a construction loan because of our support level.  We are confident God will provide for the construction materials in His time as He has provided the building lot, a  licensed contractor to oversee the project, as well as all the labor commitments needed to get the job done at no cost to us.  We cleared the building lot this month and we will soon place photos of it on our website at: www.blombergministries.com.

The church office project is nearing completion and we anticipate beginning the church newsletter, “A-pone-kee Shay-ah”  (Word Carrier) soon.  This newsletter ministry will enable Seminole Bible Baptist Church to reach into the homes that have no Gospel influence. Through   these newsletters, filled with Bible studies and evangelistic messages, Seminoles will see God’s alternative to a life of despair, misery and hopelessness.  Please pray  for  the “A-pone-kee Shay-ah” ministry.

I had the opportunity of leading a 39 year old Seminole man to the Lord in early September. Please pray for Ramsey that God will bring him into the fellowship of Seminole Bible Baptist Church where he can be nurtured and discipled.  There are so many just like Ramsey in whom I see so much potential, yet Satan, the god of this world continues to bind them and blind them with spiritual darkness, drugs and alcohol.

We have had several visitors of late to our services as we have been encouraging the members to invite others to church and to witness. Much teaching remains to be done but progress is being made. The Seminole elder of the church expressed how much he appreciates the fact that I ask for questions at the end of each service.  Answering the questions that have been on their hearts for so many years is a vital part of our teaching ministry here.

Joel is doing fine at Clearwater Christian College.  He would love to hear from any who wish to e-mail him.  His address is: joelblomberg@clearwater.edu.

Two weeks ago we had the first Communion service that the church has had in nearly 20 years.  I preached a brief message on being right with God before we partook of the elements and three folks came forward.  I sense in the church people a real desire to please the Lord and a  thirst to understand the Scriptures.

I will close this letter with a brief list of our prayer requests.  Again, thank you for your faithful prayers on our behalf and for your support as well.
